Challenge Accepted! Running Over 120 km to Support Teach for Bulgaria

On the first Wednesday of June, runners from around the world lace up and get out, inspiring others to join the global running community. Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages everyone to get moving. It’s also a day when runners like me share the reasons why they run.

Over the next 4 months, I’ve committed to challenge myself with a cause and will run over 120 km to raise money for Zaedno v chas / Teach For Bulgaria which places teachers in Bulgarian classrooms where they are most needed!

Every donation matters when it comes to positive change in education. You can help, too!

On Global Running Day, I logged 15 km in preparation for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and in support of this organization.

Please join me today by donating to my GlobalGiving fundraiser to provide every child in Bulgaria with equal access to quality education:

Everyone is more than welcome to support me in my charitable endeavor by donating to my GlobalGiving campaign.

Prepping for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2019

Prepping for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2019 in my hometown of Septemvri, Bulgaria. I could barely run two loops here back in high school.

Fundraising for a Bulgarian organization very dear to my heart. Details to follow soon.

United Airlines NYC Half

Running the United Airlines NYC Half was on my bucket list for this year. Today I got to cross it off that list.

Thanks to Rotaract Club of Manhattan NYC and the NY Chinatown Rotary Club for giving me a spot on the CaringKind – The Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving Athletes To End Alzheimer’s team.

We were able to raise a little less than $50,000 for Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving.

NYCRUNS Queens Half Marathon next!

Full speed ahead to running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in October! Will be fundraising for an awesome Bulgarian organization!

2019 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon

The 2019 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon is just three days away!

I’ll be running this 13.1-mile race on Sunday, featuring a field of over 20,000 runners starting in Prospect Park, crossing the Manhattan Bridge, and finishing the run in NYC’s running staple, Central Park.

Our Athletes To End Alzheimer’s team has raised a total of $44,116! That’s tremendous – thanks to everyone who supported the cause!

United Airlines NYC Half Marathon: Fundraising for CaringKind’s Athletes To End Alzheimer’s team

Back to Central Park, where I finished my running season last year with the NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon in December. First half marathon of 2019 last Sunday, 1/3 by mid-April ✔️

My second half marathon will be the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on March 17th. I’ll be raising funds for Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving by running for the CaringKind‘s Athletes To End Alzheimer’s team. I’m fortunate to be one of the 24 runners on the team thanks to the NY Chinatown Rotary Club and Rotaract Club of Manhattan NYC. Thank you!

With less than three weeks left to go before race day, our team has raised over $30,000!

My goal is to raise $150. I’ve already donated $50 to the cause. This cause is personal to me, as my grandma on my mother’s side had dementia.
